DGI Simpl Visionary Solutions Series5 Driver

SIMPL and SIMPL+ modules that wraps the DGI Visionary Solutions Series 5 Driver so it can be used in SIMPL Windows applications

New Version 2.0.0 packages the UDP communication driver inside the SIMPL# drivers, removing the need to have to also import to your program the UDP driver. The main reason for the change is the vast amount of information that was being exchanged between the VS driver and the UDP driver through SIMPL that was having a detrimental effect using debuger.

This version is not compatible with previous versions and will delete a lot of signals in your SIMPL program if just replaced. The process to update should be:

• Make a copy of the folder of your current version and label it old.
• On the working folder, open SIMPL and remove all instances of the SIMPL Module and the accompanying UDP module.
• Bring the new module in.
• Open the old version in a different SIMPL instance and manually move the signals from the old version to the new version, including the UDP ones.

It will connect and start polling the device when registered. It will stop polling when unregistered. Polling will happen every 2 seconds.

Polling is as follows:

• Device Information. Every 5 seconds
• Audio Information. Every 4 seconds
• Video Timing Information: Every 2 seconds
• GPIO Status (When Enabled). Every 1 seconds

This driver was tested against a Visionary Solutions Series 5 Decoder using firmware 3.18.12 and API Specification 3.5

Installation instructions

Download the nuget package from the DGI Nuget Server using the Download Package button into your local machine. Extract the .nupkg file using 7zip or any other tool. You will find the SIMPL+ modules and clz inside the content folder. Copy the contents of the whole folder into into your SIMPL Windows program or project.
