DGI Visionary Solutions Series 5 Driver

Driver to communicate with Visionary Solutions Series 5 Devices. Intended to be use with a UDP Interface. It will start polling the decoder when registered. It will stop polling when unregistered

This driver was tested against a Visionary Solutions Series 5 Decoder using firmware 3.13.56 and API Specification 3.5

Its constructor accepts an object that implements IDgiCommunication used to connect, send messages and disconnect from the decoder.

Configure the IDgiCommunication driver accordingly to accept connectivity with the decoder.

Visionary Solutions Series 5 Devices only accepts UDP communications at port 8000.

Constructing the driver

Use the driver VisionarySolutionsSeries5Driver(IDgiCommunication communicationDriver) constructor by injecting a DotNetUdpClient dependency, with the relevant address and port of the decoder:

Registration

Polling for updates does not happen automatically when registering. If updates are necessary, polls needs to be enabled either before, or any time after registration.

Register() the driver to start polling for updates

vsDriver.EnablePolling();
vsDriver.Register();

At any moment is possible to stop polling for updates by calling DisablePolling()

vsDriver.DisablePolling();

Routing

To set the decoder to a specific stream from and Encoder, call the SetHostIpAddress(string ipAddress) method with the desired Encoder IP Address

Example: To display feed encoded by an encoder at address "192.168.0.126". Note that hostnames are not supported.

var result = await vsDriver.SetHostIpAddress("192.168.0.126")

Example: To blank the video depending on the configuration in the VideoOutputWhenBlankStream property set the stream to an empty string

var result = await vsDriver.SetHostIpAddress("")

Un-registration

Unregister() the driver to stop polling and disconnect from the decoder at the end of the program, on when updates are no longer needed.

vsDriver.Unregister();
