SSH Client

Opens a SSH connection with a third-party Ethernet device for as long as the input is high.

SIMPL+ Wrapper that wraps SSH Client DGI DotNetSshClient

Creates a SIMPL SSH Client with the following attributes:

• IP addresses and ports can be assigned either as a Join Signals or as Parameters, which avoids having to create IP tables.
• Joins allow to change of addresses, ports, username of password during runtime. The underlying C# driver will automatically disconnect and reconnect whenever the IP address, Hostname, Port, Username or Password are changed
• As long as the Connect signal is High the driver will try to connect, even if no remote device connects, or if a device connected, and the dropped its connection. Time between retries will increase with each unsuccessful connection to not overburden the network or the processor.
• Failures are not logged in the Logger. To see results in real time check status of symbol.
• Adds Serilog to log events. Log Levels can be set from Verbose to Error. Default is Error.
• Logs will be written to console when the program runs in an Appliance and to Error Log when running on a server.
• v1.1.0 supports resolving mDNS names
• Sent Data to SIMPL is limited to chunks of 250 characters, to work about SIMPL's serial join character limitation.

Notes

As its Acronym implies SSH is a Secure Shell implementation. Therefore this driver is assuming that it will be sending commands to the device as if it was a Shell, ie, human readable one line commands terminated by a Return.

Therefore when interfacing with this driver there is no need to append a new line or return character, since a single send message will be interpreted as a one line command. (It will work just fine if the character is inserted though)

This driver does not implement file transfer or anything else that are not one line commands.

VC-4 Notes

Under CentOs, the mDNS ports are closed by default. For your program to resolve mDNS commands the following must be done:

sudo firewall-cmd --permanent --zone=public --add-port=5353/udp
sudo firewall-cmd --reload
