DGI.Simpl.Ross.RossProbelDriver 1.0.0

SIMPL Ross Probel Driver

SIMPL and SIMPL+ modules that wraps the DGI Framework Ross Probel Driver and the DGI SIMPL Communication Adapter so it can be used in SIMPL Windows applications

Ross Probel driver communicates with Ultrix Routers or any other video router that uses RossProbel protocol It will establish a permanent connection to the video switcher after registration is set to high, and will stay connected listening to any routing change that the video router sends back.

Inputs:

External Connectivity

Use these inputs to connect to the communication method of your choice. You can use the Out of the Box SIMPL TCP/IP Client, or DGI's SIMPL TCP Client

  • ExternalConnect_F: Connect to the TCP/IP client symbol Connect-F output.
  • ExternalStatus: Connect to the TCP/IP client symbol Status output.
  • ExternalRx$: Connect to the TCP/IP client symbol Rx$ output.

Debug

  • LogLevel: Set the level of logging to be displayed in the Console (If running in an appliance) or the ErrorLog (If running in a virtual server). 0 = Verbose, 1 = Debug, 2 = Information, 3 = Warning, 4 = Error, 5 = Fatal. Defaults to 4 (Error Level).

Ross Probel

  • Register: Starts communication with the video switcher. At startup it will interrogate the video switcher so expect heavy network utilization. It is recommended to stagger this command with other registration commands to avoid network congestion.

  • Unregister: Stops communication with the video switcher.

  • Out[1..128]: Change the analog value of any of these signals to the source your want the output to display. The driver will automatically connect to the video switcher, send the command and disconnect. If no other commands are sent within 60 seconds, the driver will disconnect from the video switcher.

Outputs:

External Connectivity

  • ExternalConnect: Connect to the TCP/IP client symbol Connect input.
  • ExternalTx$: Connect to the TCP/IP client symbol Tx$ input.

Ross Probel

  • OutFb[1..128]: Real Time feedabck of the current source assigned to each output. This feedback is updated when the video switcher sends the information. This is not a polled feedback.

  • SourceNames[1..128] : Names assigned to each source. This feedback is updated when the video switcher sends the information. This is not a polled feedback.

  • DestinationNames[1..128] : Names assigned to each destination. This feedback is updated when the video switcher sends the information. This is not a polled feedback.

Parameters:

  • Level: Sets the levels the router will interact with. Defaults to 1.
  • MaximumSources: Sets the maximum number of sources the router will interact with. Defaults to 16.
  • MaximumDestinations: Sets the maximum number of sources the router will interact with. Defaults to 16.
  • BlankingSource: Source used to blank the video. This source will be selected, when the source to route is 0. Normally the last programed source. Defaults to 17. This is done to maintain compatibility with other video switchers and routers, when 0 is used to blank the video.
  • WaitBetweenMessages: Ticks (Hundredth's of a second) to wait between continuous messages. Modify this value if the messages are arriving too fast for the router to parse. It default to 60t (600ms).
